Jim Sellers

James E. (Jim) Sellers, Jr. was born October 19, 1936 in McCalla, Alabama to James E. and Gladys Sellers, and after a determined and courageous 17-year battle with cancer, passed away on July 28, 2026 at his home. Jim graduated from McAdory High School, married, and had two children, Melinda and Norman. He married C. Jeanine Cole on August 19, 1974, and gained 3 more daughters, Donna, Deborah, and Diane and a son, Jim. Over the years Jim was a jack of all trades. He spent years owning and running gas stations in Hueytown, Alabama; and worked years at Winn Dixie in the meat department. He then went to work for Continental Can for approximately 10 years; and then after 17 years working for Wade Sand & Gravel he retired from the workforce. But if you knew Jim, work should have been his middle name, as he opened Jim’s Body Shop as he enjoyed and kept himself busy building trailers and buying, restoring, and selling old International Tractors. He enjoyed and loved his “coffee buddies” at Petro. Jim always had a helping hand for anyone in need. His biggest joy was his wife Jeanine as they made many happy memories driving and traveling across the United States seeing all of the sites and rating the pies at various restaurants between Point A and Point B. Jim took great joy in his family, especially all of the grandchildren, great grandchildren, and then great great grandchildren. He looked forward to spending as much time as he could with them, whether it be in person or by video visits. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Gladys Sellers; his brother Ray W. Sellers; his son Norman Ray Sellers; his son- in-law Jerry Williams; and his grandson Kelly Joe Willaims. He is survived by his wife Jeanine; and his children Melinda Sellers Rollins (Shane), Donna Boshell, Debra Williams, Diane Jones (James), and Jim Boshell (Karen); and grandchildren Amanda Wilson (Michael), Blake Rollins, Brian Grizzard, Stacy Williams, Brady Williams, Cory Boshell (Mariah), Brian Whitworth, Matt Witworth (T.J.); 9 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
