Kyle Brandon Mabrey

Kyle Brandon Mabrey of McCalla was called home by our Lord on Sunday, February 19, 2017. He was met at the gates of heaven by his grandparents, Buddy and Maxine Antonio and Doc and Dorothy Mabrey, who were called before him to help prepare his place. Kyle’s family: wife Beth, son Evan, daughter Emma, father David, mother Paula, sister Alison Stevens, mother-in-law, Bobbie Garret, sister-in-law, Missy Gant, brother-in-laws, Brad Stevens and Scott Gant, nieces, Cris Gant, Cara Gant, Isabella Stevens, and nephew, Skyler Stevens, mourn his early departure, but find comfort in knowing that God’s plan is bigger than our understanding. It was no secret that Kyle loved to fish. His passion started as a child fishing for bream on Lay Lake and quickly progressed to bass fishing in local club tournaments as a teenager. He continued his craft as an adult, fishing as a professional in various FLW tournaments across the country. Kyle chased the Big Bite from Florida to New York and from Georgia to California, and made friends in every small town along the way. Amazingly, even though he spent countless hours researching fish patterns and honing his craft, Kyle found time to meet the love of his life, Beth, and raise two beautiful children, Evan and Emma. In his spare time, Kyle was employed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at Children’s Hospital, where he touched the lives of countless children and parents. He had an infectious smile that gave everyone comfort, and he never met a stranger. Kyle Mabrey – your family, your friends, your co-anglers, your co-workers and your patients will miss you my friend, but we are comforted knowing that we will see you again. God blessed us all by allowing us to know you for a brief time on this earth. We pray that we can all follow your example, and use our time on this earth to make a difference in the lives of those around us. MATTHEW 4:19 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” Visitation will be on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at The Baptist Church of McAdory.
