Ruth F. Bibb

Ruth Floretta Bibb, age 80, of Bessemer, Alabama, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 20, 2026. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Arnolds Chapel Community Church, with visitation from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM and a celebration of her life beginning at 11:00AM. A private burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Flora Katherine Stanley, and David Leroy Stanley; her siblings, Frances Martin, John Stanley, Eugene Stanley, and Ruby Earnest; her daughter, Jayne Nobles; and her grandson, Adam Bibb. She is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 63 years, Clarence Bibb; her sister, Margaret Simmons Kernop; her children, Michael Bibb (Shelley), Wayne Bibb (Karen), and Mary White; along with her grandchildren, Drew Burroughs, Kayla Nobles, Christopher Nobles, Melissa Hetherington, Madison White, Cameron Bibb, Jordan Bibb, Demilah Bibb, Amelia Bibb and Elaina Bibb; great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth was born on August 23, 1945, and lived a simple yet beautiful life, marked by a loving heart, a generous spirit, and an unwavering devotion to her family. Whether working at Shoney’s, raising her children, or caring for her grandchildren, she never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Ruth was the embodiment of unconditional love and steadfast commitment to her family. Her love was constant, enduring, and without limits. She believed deeply in the power of love, grace, and forgiveness, and she extended those gifts freely to everyone around her. With an open heart, she offered encouragement, understanding, and compassion, serving as a source of comfort, strength, and support to those she loved. Family was the center of Ruth’s life. She poured herself into her children, grandchildren, and all those fortunate enough to know her. Her greatest joy came from caring for others and making them feel loved, welcomed, and valued. Ruth’s legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched and the love she shared so freely. She will be remembered for her strength, kindness, unwavering devotion to her family, and the steady presence she provided throughout the generations who were blessed to love her.
