Gene Hopkins, 75, of McCalla, AL, passed away, Monday, June 13, 2022 at his home. A celebration of his life will be held at The Church of God, at 1912 4th Ave SW, Bessemer, Alabama. Visitation will be from 12pm till 2pm and the service will start at 2pm on Saturday June 18, 2022. Burial will follow at Hopewell Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery on Hopewell Road in Bessemer, Alabama. He is survived by his wife, Sandra, and three daughters, Karla Pavino and husband Chris, Gina Rogers and husband Johnny, and Kristal Cox and husband Will and one sister Jeanette Martin. Also 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Steve and his parents, Jasper and Anna Jean Hopkins, two brothers, Johnny and Arthur, and three sisters Betty, Louise, and Patricia. Rev. Jerry Cox will be the officiating minister.
