Polly Hosmer Salah

Mary “Polly” Hosmer Salah, age 39, of Odenville, Alabama, passed away on August 17, 2026. Born on July 6, 1987, Polly was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend whose love and presence filled every room she entered. Polly was a devoted stay-at-home mother who poured her heart into caring for her family and creating a warm, beautiful home. There was always a meal on the table at dinnertime, and her creative, decorative mind had a way of making their home look astonishing. The decorations were constantly changing as she found new ways to make each space beautiful and welcoming. She was an old soul who found joy in life's simple things. Polly loved going to thrift stores, attending church, watching movies and television shows, and searching for new recipes to try. She especially loved decorating for the fall season and eagerly transformed her home each year to celebrate her favorite time of year. Recently, she learned how to make bread from scratch and was absolutely giddy and proud of herself for mastering it. Above all else, Polly loved her family. She had an immeasurable love for her husband, Mikey, and adored her two boys, Hudson Storm Salah, age 4, and Adler Ridge Salah, age 2. Being their mother was at the heart of who she was, and the love she gave her family will continue to live on through them. Polly was the most patient person, the strongest woman, and someone who always seemed to know what the next step was. She brought comfort and steadiness to the people she loved. Her strength was quiet but undeniable, and her love was constant. She had a beautiful way of making a house feel like a home and making the people around her feel cared for. She is preceded by her father, Gary Hosmer She is survived by her loving husband, Mikey Salah; her beloved sons, Hudson Storm Salah and Adler Ridge Salah; her mother, Barbara Hosmer; and her brothers, Vance Hosmer (Stacy), Wayne Hosmer (Michelle) and Joseph, along with many other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, grandparents and friends who loved her dearly. Polly leaves behind a home filled with memories, a family forever shaped by her love, and a legacy that cannot be measured in words. Though her time with those who loved her was far too short, the love she gave, the meals she prepared, the traditions she created, and the beautiful home and family she built will never be forgotten. She was deeply loved. She will be deeply missed. And she will forever remain a part of the hearts of her husband, her boys, her family, and everyone fortunate enough to know her. Visitation with the family will be held Monday August 24, 2026 at 10am at McCalla Memorial Funeral Home located at 4780 Letson Farms Pkwy, McCalla, AL 35111 Funeral services to celebrate the life of Polly will be held on Monday, August 24th at 11am at McCalla Memorial Funeral Home.
